This 2013 H.O.F. Class is crazy good. Perhaps the best we have ever had. Never before have we had three former WWE Champions inducted in the same class. 2 has been the most, 2012 (Edge and Yokozuna) 2006 (Bret Hart and Eddie Guerrero) and 2004 (Sgt. Slaughter and Superstar Billy Graham). To top things off we have perhaps the best WWE Women’s Champion of all time, definitely the sexiest, Trish Stratus.
Mick Foley getting inducted is my second personal favorite induction. (Bret always number one). Foley is the ultimate storyteller and never has a shortage of tales to tell, I am looking forward to his acceptance speech more so then anyone else’s in quite a long time. Terry Funk inducting his protege will be the icing on this hardcore cake.
Bruno is one of the most deserving men to ever be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Alongside Hogan and Austin, Bruno is as much responsible for the juggernaut WWE has become as any other man. The living legend owned the WWE and the WWE title and the Garden was his home. Seeing him inducted at MSG will be amazing. Not to mention he hasn’t been on WWE TV in over 20 years.
Bob Backlund is along the same line as Bruno. A living legend. Carried the company for years, and even reinvented himself long after his prime. The man could probably still outwork half the current roster and is in probably better shape as well.
Perhaps this write up about Stratus is just to have an excuse to use another one of her pictures in this post. The women truly deserves the honor though. Easily one of the hardest working and sexiest women in all of wrestling. She provided countless chubbies for teenagers everywhere during the attitude era, and became the greatest Women’s Champion of her era while doing it. Not to bad. Most women have one or the other, or a tiny bit of both. Canada’s greatest export has it all in spades. The only time I remember WWE’s women’s division ever being worthwhile was when she was the star of it. Side note: I would love to see her best opponent and all time rival, Lita, induct her.
Question is. Will there be more superstars announced? Four seems a little light, but the magnitude of these inductions deserve the spotlight and anyone else outside of Randy Savage or maybe Ultimate Warrior will be dwarfed in comparison.
