PWG All Star Weekend 9 Preview

Tickets go on sale tonight for this epic two day event, and it has me pondering the card and what great wrestling we will witness. Check out our official preview of this event after the jump.

The card for both of these nights is tremendous. Unfortunately, we will only be attending night 2. As funds and work get in the way of fun. Fortunately though, we will be attending night 2.  Both cards are amazing, and honestly, I wish we could attend both nights, but night 2 will have to suffice.

Here is the card for night 1:

Number One Contender Guerrilla Warfare Match
Sami Callihan vs. Drake Younger

Six-Man Tag Team Match
Super Smash Brothers (Player Uno & Stupefied) & Samuray Del Sol vs. Inner City Machine Guns (Rich Swann & Ricochet) & AR Fox

Singles Match
Roderick Strong vs. Trent?

Tag Team Match
Future Shock (World Champion Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. Unbreakable F’N Machines (Brain Cage & Michael Elgin)

Singles Match
“Intrepid Traveler” Paul London vs. “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen

Non-Title Tag Team Match
Johnny Gargano & Chuck Taylor vs. The Young Bucks (World Tag Team Champions Matt & Nick Jackson)

Singles Match
Eddie Edwards vs. Jay Lethal

As you can see, night 1 is stacked. Each match has the potential to steal the show. I am especially looking forward to the main event. Drake and Sami have taken each other to the limit and we will finally get to see who comes out on top as #1 Contender. Roderick Strong vs Trent? (Formerly Trent Barretta) is another exciting match up.

It will be great to see how Trent can handle the PWG style, especially against the messiah of the back breaker. Paul London vs Kevin Steen will be interesting, especially with the meshing of two very different styles. Eddie Edwards vs Jay Lethal is the only disappointment for me, as we have seen this match countless times in ROH, and I expected something bigger for Lethal’s PWG debut, needless to say it will still be an awesome match.

Here is the card for night 2:

World Championship Title Match
Adam Cole (Champion) vs. Winner of Sami Callihan & Drake Younger on Night One

World Tag Team Championship Title Match
The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson – Champions) vs. DojoBros (Eddie Edwards & Roderick Strong – Challengers)

Singles Match
AR Fox vs. “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen

Tag Team Match
Inner City Machine Guns (Rich Swann & Ricochet) vs. Unbreakable F’N Machines (Brian Cage & Michael Elgin)

Singles Match
Kyle O’Reilly vs. Loser of Sami Callihan & Drake Younger on Night One

Singles Match
“Intrepid Traveler” Paul London vs. Trent?

Tag Team Match
Supers Smash Bros. (Player Uno & Stupefied) vs. Johnny Gargano & Chuck Taylor

Singles Match
TJ Perkins vs. Samuray Del Sol

Singles Match
Jay Lethal vs. Willie Mack

This is the night I am most looking forward too, and not just because I will be there. The card is again stacked, and all the titles will be on the line. Adam Cole will defend against either Sami Callihan or Drake Younger, either way I am happy. This match will probably steal the show. The Young Bucks vs The Dojo Bros. for the tag titles. The Bucks do not have bad matches, neither do Roddy and Eddie, this will be another perfect example of why these four are some of the best going today. Inner City Machine Guns vs Unbreakable Fucking Machines. The combination of power on one side and speed on the other will be crazy. Two completely opposite teams collide here. Look for some crazy spots and crazy bumps.

Paul London vs Trent?, nice to see PWG match up these former WWE superstars, should be fast paced and fun. The last match that really catches my eye is Jay Lethal vs Willie Mack, I am a Mack fan, as he has impressed me live before. I have yet to see Lethal, so this will be exciting for me. I have been a fan of everything he has done in both ROH and TNA, a mark out moment. Also, not to mention the Dragon Gate USA guys that are booked, this is as close to super cards as you can get.

Can’t wait to get tickets and visit lovely Reseda, CA. If you are in the area and you are on this site, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t attend. If you can’t make it out, pick up the DVD. Either way, this will be a must see event.
